Environmental Responsibility
Jigsaw Print Solutions encourages good environmental practice throughout the organisation and minimises, re-uses and recycles all materials wherever practical. This includes aluminium plates, metal ink tins, plastic ink cartridges, the inks, paper, cardboard, plastic wrapping and even pallet wood.
Only FSC certified paper is specified, from sustainably managed forests and there is a commitment to complying with existing and future environmental legislation.
We identify and seek to reduce harmful environmental effects in the following ways: • Plates are produced using Computer To Plate (CTP) machines, reducing film and its associated chemicals. • Machinery uses water technology to reduce use of chemicals. • Used plates are collected and recycled by licensed waste carriers. • Plates are remade where possible. • Inks are vegetable-based. • Tins, plastic containers and wraps are crushed and recycled.
Customers and suppliers are encouraged to offset the carbon emissions associated with the production of their printed materials and work toward the protection and restoration of carbon-rich wildlife habitats across the globe by accepting our support of The World Land Trust and paper producers Antalis, Denmaur Paper Media and Fedrigoni.
